2009 International Photography Awards Announces Winners of the Competition
Karen I. Hirsch was awarded in the International Photography Awards Competition. International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of 2009's competition.
Karen Hirsch was Awarded: Honorable Mention in Fine Art - Other category for the winning entry "The Bean."
ABOUT THE WINNER: Karen I. Hirsch is a Chicago-based professional commercial and fine art photographer. Named “Best of Chicago” by the U.S. Commerce Association, Hirsch has won accolades worldwide. Her work has been published internationally in books, magazines, newspapers and calendars. In 2007, the Chinese government invited Hirsch to be one of ten foreign photographers to document the city of Rizhao. Through her imagery, Hirsch “tells the story” via her unique point-of-view. Hirsch is president of Fort Dearborn-Chicago Photo Forum and a member of the American Society of Media Photographers.
